Mr. Daniel Kim

Mr. Kim has taught English at Abraham Lincoln High School since 1997. He specializes in Shakespeare and loves to bring English to life for his students. Next year, he will be teaching the second year component of the Humanities Pathway with the Humanities Team: Ms. Ziegler, Ms. Gratch, Mr. Geiser, and Mr. Sultan.

Mr. Kim received his bachelor's degree in English from Stanford University, and his master's degree in teaching and curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After student teaching at Brookline High School in Massachusetts, he returned to California to marry his wife and experience warmer weather. In 2005 he became a National Board Certified Teacher.

When he is not teaching, Mr. Kim loves spending time with his son, D.J., playing ultimate frisbee, and participating in the life of his church.

As a native of Los Angeles, Mr. Kim has to admit that he roots for the Dodgers.  Sorry Giants' fans!
